26-27 Multi-Service Center Food Distribution Support Spec
 
 
 
This is an AmeriCorps/Washington Service Corps national service position, contingent on funding and open until filled. The Multi-Service Center Food Bank serves the local Federal Way community. Our programs include an in-person Market, Home Delivery, retirement residence Food Bridge delivery, Medical Transition Boxes, and Bridge the Gap backpack programs. We work to alleviate the emergency food needs of the community by meeting each person with equity and integrity. We serve over 12,000 people and distribute over 1,612,201 pounds of food every year. The member will serve alongside staff and volunteers to facilitate each of our food distribution programs by engaging with clients and the community while upholding the integrity and belonging our organization embodies. We expect to begin rolling review and interview in late September. Monthly stipend amount: $1,942.

Member Duties : The Food Distribution Support Specialist will serve clients in a variety of shopping settings. They will provide up-to-date information about the items available; answer client questions; guide the flow of clients through the market; support our new Bridging A Gap (BAG) program; assist with sorting, packing, and distributing food items; help maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the warehouse.
