Central Coast AmeriCorps Partnership
 
 
 
AmeriCorps members will assist qualifying individuals find and retain appropriate housing, find the resources to support the use of appropriate housing, and assist individuals in accessing the appropriate housing in throughout the Central Coast. AmeriCorps members will work with qualified individuals to assist them in supportive services, such as attending medical appointments and applying for public benefits, with an end goal of attaining housing. AmeriCorps members will also recruit one-time and ongoing volunteers to assist with service activities and to participate in Day of Service events.

Member Duties : Members will perform key activities necessary to assist veterans in accessing services, acquiring/retaining housing, and becoming more self-sufficient. These activities can include assistance with transportation to medical and other appointments, researching and applying for appropriate benefits, acquiring identification and military discharge materials, and applying for low-income housing.
