NMHC AmeriCorps members with CONTACT The Crisis Line support local crisis response efforts by assisting with calls, texts, and chats while expanding access to mental health resources. Members receive training in crisis intervention and support 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline awareness through community outreach and education. Responsibilities include supporting crisis services, assisting with volunteer recruitment and onboarding, promoting mental health resources, building community partnerships, and contributing to program evaluation. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in crisis response, mental health education, and community-based support while strengthening critical services for individuals in need.
