DVSAS Outreach & Development VISTA
 
 
 
DVSAS provides comprehensive services to individuals impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and sexual exploitation. The organization offers crisis intervention, advocacy, emergency shelter, legal and medical advocacy, counseling, prevention education, and support services to help survivors achieve safety and stability. The majority of individuals served are living at or below the poverty line, making access to these services critical for reducing barriers and promoting long-term self-sufficiency.

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps VISTA member will build organizational capacity by strengthening DVSAS’s volunteer, outreach, and fundraising systems. The member will support the development of outreach plans, identify community engagement opportunities, and improve volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and training processes. They will assist with improving donor and auction data systems, developing fundraising communications, and supporting events that generate resources for survivor services. The member will create and refine tools, processes, and documentation that allow DVSAS staff and volunteers to sustain these efforts long-term. Through this work, the member will help expand community partnerships, increase organizational efficiency, and strengthen DVSAS’s ability to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and exploitation.
