Homeownership Accelerator VISTA DC

Medici Road is a nonprofit poverty-reduction and community-development organization working at the intersection of systems change, racial equity, and community investment. Our Washington, DC office is building My Keys. Rent No More. Homeownership Accelerator—a three-tier program designed to move income-eligible DC residents (30–80% AMI) from financial readiness education through to homeownership closing with down payment assistance. The VISTA will focus on program design and implementation. The VISTA will assist in designing the program, community assessments, and partnership landscape map. The VISTA willt then focus on implementation infrastructure:formalizing five or more institutional partnerships (HUD-certified counselors, lenders, legal aid, and community organizations), developing a replicable Tier 1 curriculum, building a participant data system, and piloting the first homeownership readiness cohort in Ward 7 and Ward 8. The VISTA member will work directly with Medici Road’s Program Manager and in close collaboration with community partner organizations. You will produce tools, systems, and curricula that outlast your term of service and create durable pathways to homeownership for low income families being priced out of their communities. This role is ideal for someone who wants to do real capacity-building work in an organization that moves fast, thinks strategically, and is serious about fairness across all groups.
