Trinity Center Fundraising & Development Specialist VISTA_

Trinity Center addresses the basic needs of unhoused and low-income individuals, providing support and helping resolve homelessness. Trinity Center addresses the growing and complex needs of individuals experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty in Austin/Travis County. Austin remains one of the least affordable housing markets in Texas, with many extremely low-income residents unable to secure stable housing while also meeting basic daily needs. Trinity Center serves as a low-barrier day center in the heart of downtown Austin, providing critical stabilization services for individuals who are often disconnected from traditional systems of care. In addition to meeting immediate survival needs, Trinity Center works collaboratively with more than 20 community partners who provide on-site outreach and specialized services, including behavioral health support, healthcare enrollment, shelter navigation, recovery support, veterans’ services, and coordinated housing assessments. By serving as a centralized and trusted community hub, Trinity Center reduces barriers to care and helps individuals begin navigating pathways toward greater stability and self-sufficiency. The Fundraising & Development Specialist VISTA Volunteer will increase the capacity Trinity Center to secure new funding to expand their reach. To ensure long-term sustainability, the VISTA will create standardized processes, toolkits, and documented outreach procedures that allow current and future staff to maintain continuity and scale programs more effectively. The volunteer will serve in-person on average 3 days a week, and virtually 2 days a week.
