Laurel Plays is a comprehensive development program that provides its AmeriCorps Volunteers with job training, leadership development, and an appreciation for higher education through a strategy of service in the City of Laurel's Parks and Recreation Department that aims to teach environmental stewardship to its members through specific projects that conserve, protect, and improve the City Beautiful.

Member Duties : Volunteers will serve as environmental stewards by keeping our parks, ball fields, pools, and downtown clean and upkept. Volunteers will also provide swimming lessons and lifeguard duties. Prohibited activities are listed in the volunteer service agreement.
