Community Engagement Coordinator - World Hunger Relief

World Hunger Relief operates a community-centered program focused on education, sustainable agriculture, and local engagement through its Educational Farm and related initiatives. The farm serves as a living classroom that demonstrates regenerative practices such as gardening, composting, and small-scale livestock systems, offering hands-on learning opportunities for individuals of all ages. The Farm Camp provides an immersive summer experience where children learn about food systems, ecology, and stewardship through interactive activities like planting, harvesting, and caring for animals. In partnership with local schools, the program also hosts field trips and youth education experiences that connect classroom concepts to real-world agricultural practices while building awareness of nutrition and food systems. Volunteer and service-learning programs invite community members, students, and organizations to actively contribute to farm operations while gaining practical skills and knowledge. These opportunities foster meaningful engagement and strengthen community connections. The Live-In Volunteer Program offers a deeper, residential experience where participants support daily farm activities while developing skills in sustainable agriculture, teamwork, and leadership. Through workshops, tours, and community events, World Hunger Relief creates spaces for learning and connection, helping individuals build practical skills and a stronger relationship with local food systems. Together, these programs promote education, collaboration, and long-term community resilience.
