VISTA Development Coordinator

Advocates Against Family Violence (AAFV) is dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence through advocacy, education, prevention, and community collaboration. AAFV works to promote safety, healing, and long-term stability for individuals and families impacted by violence, with a strong focus on increasing access to services and support in rural and underserved communities. The AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer will support capacity-building efforts designed to strengthen organizational systems, expand outreach into rural areas, improve community partnerships, and increase access to critical resources for survivors and their families. The VISTA will develop sustainable systems related to community resource coordination, rural outreach strategies, grant support, program development, and data tracking. This service opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about nonprofits, rural community engagement, social services, and creating sustainable change. Through service at AAFV, the VISTA Volunteer will gain hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, rural outreach, community collaboration, and organizational development while helping address barriers faced by survivors in underserved areas. The overall goal of this project is to build long-term organizational capacity that strengthens rural support systems, increases community connections, improves access to services, and helps create safer futures for survivors and their children across the region.
