26-27 GirlVentures Development and Marketing Associate VISTA
 
 
 
GirlVentures inspires girls to lead through outdoor adventure, inner discovery, and collective action. Our organization offers outdoor leadership programming engaging girls (ages 11-17) in backpacking, kayaking, and rock-climbing adventures in the California wilderness. Using immersion in nature and social-emotional learning as catalysts for personal transformation, we prepare participants to lead inclusive, resilient communities, and motivate youth to protect the natural world. As our Development and Marketing Associate VISTA, you will be critical in helping us acquire the resources needed to sustain all aspects of our programming, increasing what we can offer our participants while expanding our network of supporters and students. You will work closely with our Executive Director and Board Development Committee to secure funding opportunities, upgrade marketing and enrollment efforts, and ensure successful fundraising campaigns throughout the year. During the program, you will have the opportunity to expand your skills in individual and event fundraising, prospect research, systems building and marketing strategies. You're organized, connect the details to the big picture, like to design and edit, and build connections. Member Duties : The VISTA at GirlVentures will serve as part of the 2026-27 Coach Across America VISTA cohort of 64 members. The Development and Marketing Associate will update development and marketing systems, resulting in increased revenue and enrollment. They will upgrade donor records, implement individual giving campaigns, engage in event planning, create and update marketing collateral, work to refresh website and align branding, and rebuild social media strategies. These efforts will significantly contribute to increased donations, engagement, and enrollment in GirlVentures’ programs.
