Lead For America - American Connection Corps
 
 
 
The American Connection Corps is a service program aimed at helping communities build the digital connectivity necessary to expand opportunity and economic mobility, ranging from healthcare access to quality employment. We partner with local organizations in digitally disconnected places to: (1) design service projects that support community goals, like expanding broadband infrastructure or increasing digital skills and AI readiness; (2) recruit local members, who already possess essential place-based connections and competencies required for success, such as training multilingual adults or conducting local outreach; (3) and train them in new technical skills and knowledge—such as digital navigation, grant-writing, community engagement—which are not only necessary for the success of their projects, but also build critical talent pipelines for the community.

Member Duties : American Connection Corps Members serve with a local host organization to support initiatives focused on digital access, broadband expansion, workforce development, and community development. Members will engage with local leaders and community members to identify opportunities for connection and collaboration. Conduct research, outreach, and training to support community-driven projects. Assist in project management, program development, and partnership building.
