26-27 Strong Girls United Community Engagement VISTA

Strong Girls United (SGU) is a national nonprofit dedicated to empowering girls through sport, mentorship, and mental health programming. As part of the Coach Across America initiative, the Community Engagement & Operations VISTA will play a critical role in strengthening SGU’s infrastructure to support sustainable growth. This position will focus on designing and implementing structured volunteer systems, building alumni engagement pathways, developing operational resources, and enhancing communication strategies across our network. The VISTA’s work will directly contribute to increased program participation, stronger mentor retention, and deeper community impact at both local and national levels. We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about youth development in sports. Ideal candidates are strong communicators, organized problem-solvers, and self-starters who are excited to build systems from the ground up. Experience with community engagement, volunteer coordination, or nonprofit operations is a plus. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit capacity building while making a tangible difference in the lives of girls across the country. Candidates will join a mission-driven team, develop professional skills in operations and engagement, and contribute to a growing national movement advancing girls through sport.
