26 AZ Serve VISTA - La Tierra School

La Tierra Community School is a tuition-free public charter school in Prescott, AZ serving 139 students in grades K–8, approximately 65% of whom qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. The school’s mission is to provide an experiential, whole-child education, using expeditionary learning to connect students with their community and natural world. The overarching goal of this VISTA project is to build sustainable organizational capacity in three areas critical to the school’s long-term impact: coordinated community and field experience programming, fundraising and development infrastructure, and program expansion and evaluation - all in direct service of the low-income students and families La Tierra serves.
