TMA P-20 CONNECTS VISTA Project
 
 
 
Transform Mid-Atlantic (TMA) supports a diverse, regional membership network of higher education institutions in all aspects of their civic and community engagement. This VISTA project provides capacity-building for civic and community engagement with Maryland K-12 partners statewide, leveraging the evidenced-based benefits of community engagement on student retention, success, graduation rates, and job readiness while advancing community-centered anti-poverty efforts through collaborative campus-community partnerships and resource development.

Member Duties : The VISTA member's key responsibilities include creating training courses based on the state-endorsed P.A.R.E. model to support capacity building with K-12 and higher education partners. The VISTA will also support outreach and capacity-building efforts for the Baltimore Educators Group with Baltimore City and County Schools service-learning teachers and higher education practitioners. As part of the P20 CONNECTS program, the VISTA will help TMA develop evaluation measures and collect partner and member institution feedback on events, convenings, and trainings.
