Alpine Achievers Initative- ERR

Alpine Achievers Initiative (AAI) inspires, connects, and nurtures youth, families, and communities in south-central Colorado. The Educator Recruitment and Retention (ERR) program recruits community members interested in pursuing a career in education or behavioral health. ERR members serve as Behavioral Health Technicians in local schools, providing direct instructional support to students from pre-K through high school under the supervision of licensed professionals. Members participate in the Youth Mental Health Corps (YMHC), a collaborative initiative supporting youth mental health while providing on-ramps into behavioral health careers. Through this program, members earn a Behavioral Health Plus Certificate or Qualified Behavioral Health Assistant Level 1 Certificate via Front Range Community College. Service responsibilities include supporting classroom instruction tailored to individual student needs, assisting with individual education plans, conducting developmentally appropriate child assessments, implementing behavioral strategies, and participating in data collection. Members are expected to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families while upholding confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Members meet with their AAI Program Manager monthly and their site supervisor weekly. Professional development opportunities cover academic interventions, youth development, behavior management, restorative practices, CPR/First Aid, and career readiness. Benefits include a living allowance up to $28,560, a Segal Education Award of $5,176.50, a Behavioral Health certification, student loan forbearance, potential housing stipend, and access to AAI's outdoor gear library. A high school diploma and background checks are required. This is a 1,200-hour, full-time term running August 2026–July 2027.
