26 Arizona Serve VISTA - Habitat Volunteer Coordinator

Creating a more compassionate and just world, Habitat for Humanity Tucson brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. We build affordable housing and repair homes for low-income families. Habitat Tucson visions a world where everyone has a decent, safe, & affordable place to live. The Volunteer Management Specialist would create systems to support all aspects of the volunteer lifecycle at Habitat for Humanity Tucson. The member will create capacity to expand the reach of the program and engage more individuals in Habitat's mission.

Member Duties : The member will create and streamline systems across all aspects of the volunteer cycle. Volunteer Recruitment: The VISTA member will design systems to expand volunteer recruitment, ensuring reach to a wide audience across Tucson with a special focus on corporate volunteer groups. The VISTA will also design a system to increase the ease of scheduling volunteers for construction, office, HabiStore, and CHUCK Center services. Volunteer Management: the VISTA will ensure a robust and standardized volunteer orientation by reviewing current practices and making suggestions to relevant staff. They will also create a database for volunteer tracking and follow-up with a goal of increasing returning volunteers and engagement. They will also review and revise volunteer recruitment, management, and recognition tools. Event Coordination: The member will design systems to ensure relevant tracking and safety compliance are in place for events, especially build days.
