2026 Summer Associates-Summer Achievement & Learning

Maryland's students deserve summers that open doors — not widen gaps. As a VISTA Summer Associate with the Maryland Summer Achievement & Learning Taskforce (MD-SALT), you'll play a hands-on role in a statewide movement to ensure every young person has access to high-quality summer learning opportunities MD-SALT is a cross-sector coalition bringing together leaders from K–12 and higher education, youth development, public health, philanthropy, business, faith communities, and government. Together, task force members are working to map Maryland's summer learning landscape, establish statewide Program Quality Standards, and develop bold recommendations to advance equity and expand access for youth statewide.
