Community Engagement & Systems Coordination VISTA
 
 
 
The VISTA member will build sustainable systems and processes that enhance communication, data collection, and operational efficiency, resulting in improved coordination and increased organizational capacity for The Beacon, a daytime drop-in shelter and resource center operated by Catholic Charities, welcoming men, women, and children in Dane County who are experiencing homelessness. Additionally, the VISTA member serving in this role should be a resident of WI, able to commute to The Beacon daily whilst engaging with WAFCC's AmeriCorps staff and leadership. The VISTA member should be warm, welcoming, empathetic, and inclusive. They should be a listener, communicative, and possess relationship building skills. Furthermore, critical thinking, sound judgment and independent and collaborative working skills are a must. Finally, they should be proficient in verbal and written communication, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will support the development and enhancement of community-based systems that improve coordination, communication, and service delivery among partner agencies. This role focuses on strengthening organizational capacity through data tracking, process improvement, stakeholder communication, and systems development. The member will not provide direct service but will instead build infrastructure that enables more effective and efficient service provision.
