Entryway Program and Retention VISTA

Entryway is a national nonprofit operating in 11 regional markets. Founded in 2014, our program restructured after the pandemic. We are seasoned professionals who operate in an entrepreneurial culture that may remind you of a start-up, with abundant opportunity to build capacity. Entryway opens doors for individuals and families facing situational homelessness to return to economic independence. Participants receive career training, life skills, mentorship, and access to full-time employment and discounted housing opportunities with our apartment industry partners. We break down barriers so individuals can step into their true potential. This VISTA position, like our entire team, will telework and can be based in any of the metropolitan areas of our eleven active markets (Atlanta, Austin, Charleston, Charlotte, Columbus, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Houston, Nashville, Orlando, Phoenix). Weekly all-staff videoconferences keep everyone informed and offer a forum to share wins and test new ideas. The Program and Retention VISTA will develop and advance strategies that improve participant retention and program completion by identifying barriers to engagement, enhancing support services, and strengthening communication between staff, partners, and participants. These tools will equip participants and program graduates to overcome common barriers with knowledge and strategies needed to maintain employment and stable housing. The ideal candidate will be analytical and detail-oriented, comfortable conducting assessments and interviews, and skilled at translating insights into practical tools and pilot programs. Strong communication and project management skills are essential. We are looking for a team player who has a high standard for the quality and integrity of their work output and possesses the emotional intelligence to conduct themselves with professionalism and discretion. This position is for one year and begins on May 4, 2026.
