| Member Duties : Oasis is a national education organization that promotes healthy aging through lifelong learning, active lifestyles, and service. In Missouri, Oasis partners with school districts-particularly those serving high-poverty communities and academically vulnerable students- to provide tutoring support in literacy and math for children in grades K-3.
The Oasis Tutoring Program pairs older adult volunteers with young students for weekly one-on-one sessions. Through consistent support from a caring adult, students strengthen academic skills, build confidence, improve attendance, and develop a love for reading and language arts.
The Summer Associate will support staff with volunteer recruitment efforts, Tutor Trainings and our Summer Literacy Program.
