Summer Associate - Kokua Kalihi Valley Community Liaison
 
 
 
The program comprises clinical, community, and social determinants of health components to serve the community. This includes our chronic disease management team with several project to help manage those conditions, Youth Services that hosts an afterschool and summer internship program on health and wellness, Hui Hoaka which connects community members with social services outside of KKV, and our Roots program that educates the community on health foods and connection to culture.

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps member would 1) assist in program operations - take attendance, setup, breakdown and debrief major programming events, document program events, 2) support database creation, collection and management to measure progress, 3) recruit community members to participate in programming - brainstorm different outreach strategies and utilize face-to-face interactions, social media posting, and other means.
