Hawaii Green Growth - Watershed Resilience AmeriCorps VISTA
 
 
 
The Hawaii Green Growth VISTA project aligns with the Economic Opportunity, Healthy Futures, Education, and Environmental Stewardship focus areas. The VISTA project supports development of a technical and local workforce through innovative opportunities such as a Dashboard Lab; advances progress on the State's food security goals through facilitated public and private sector commitments to local food production; and supports the next generation of local leaders by facilitating a growth pathway that cultivates student knowledge and fosters youth leadership on advancing progress on the SDGs. The project also supports disaster risk mitigation activities through environmental stewardship and nature-based solutions helping low-income communities.

Member Duties : The Watershed Resilience AmeriCorps VISTA will provide capacity-building support for the Ala Wai Watershed Collaboration (AWWC), a multi-sector partnership advancing long-term, community-centered solutions to reduce flood risk, improve water quality, strengthen freshwater security, and enhance community resilience across the Ala Wai Watershed.
