AmeriCorps VISTA Immunization Outreach and Education Leader
 
 
 
Support member orientation and training. Evaluate current orientation and onboarding practices for VISTA members to identify opportunities for improvement. Organize and facilitate orientation and onboarding for new members, following quality improvement process. Identify training needs and opportunities for members throughout their program year; collaborate with Immunize Colorado staff to carry out relevant trainings and professional development opportunities. Enhance VISTA project and member effectiveness by facilitating the VISTA team and supporting team members in their work. Meet with members on a regular basis to discuss progress and identify needs. Schedule regular team meetings for all program members to share updates with each other, receive updates from Immunize Colorado and receive technical assistance. Share regular updates with members regarding best practices, tools, resources and guidance related to program activities. Streamline program reporting processes across host site organizations and train/assist members in program reporting. Review data from monthly VISTA reports and summarize for program staff. Develop and expand resources, workflows, and outreach materials to support staff-led member recruitment efforts for the program. Provide feedback to staff regarding opportunities to improve VAD clarity, accuracy and consistency. Research recruitment opportunities and promote position announcement through local avenues. Collaborate with program staff and VISTA members to enhance program sustainability. Guide VISTA members in creating their own sustainability manuals to assist subsequent VISTAs with continuing project implementation. As a VISTA Leader, you MUST have served and completed a term of service with AmeriCorps or the Peace Corps.

Member Duties : The person in this role will support the orientation and training of VISTA members, identify areas for improvement in current onboarding practices, and organize orientation sessions for new members. They will identify training needs for members and collaborate with the team to deliver relevant professional development opportunities throughout the program year. They will provide mentorship, guidance, and facilitate peer support among members through regular meetings. Additionally, they will develop and streamline program reporting tools/templates and support members in navigating reporting processes. The individual will also develop resources, workflows, and outreach materials for staff-led recruitment and provide observations and feedback to staff regarding opportunities to improve VAD clarity and consistency. Finally, they will collaborate with program staff and VISTA members to enhance program sustainability and document all procedures and materials for future reference.
