Alexandria Mentoring Partnership- Outreach & Communications
 
 
 
Formed in 2006, the Alexandria Mentoring Partnership (AMP) is comprised of a variety of local mentoring programs with the shared mission of ensuring that quality mentors and mentoring programs are available for Alexandria's youth and young adults in need. Utilizing evidence-based practices identified by MENTOR, Inc., the national mentoring partnership, AMP works to support and strengthen mentoring programs through maximizing mentor recruitment, screening, and training, and ensuring best practice within the partnership’s programs.

Member Duties : his position is primarily responsible for assisting and coordinating the Alexandria Mentoring Partnership’s (AMP) suite of services to the mentoring field, including Caring University (a free learning institute for caring adults), mentor recruitment, relationship management, and referral management. This includes co-managing and expanding Caring University’s course offerings and enrollment, as well as consulting with current and prospective mentoring programs to assess their current needs, offer solutions and services to meet those needs, and help enable those programs to improve their capacity and sustainability over time. This position will drive AMP’s vision to ensure that every child who wants a mentor has a mentor. Must have a valid driver’s license in state of residence (use of City vehicle is possible) and/or access to public transportation to meet job responsibilities. Must have intermediate skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email.
