ABC VISTA Funding Diversification Coordinator
 
 
 
The Alliance of Border Collaboratives (ABC) strives to ensure that low-income and underserved minority populations can exercise their rights to receive appropriate prevention, care, and treatment services. ABC is located in the City of El Paso, TX, and we offer our services to communities in El Paso, Culberson, Hudspeth, and Presidio Counties in TX, and Otero, Luna, and Doña Ana Counties in NM. The VISTA Funding Diversification Coordinator will be responsible for the development and implementation the Health Navigation Services (HNS) funding diversification plan aimed to increase funding revenue and support the project current operations and sustainability strategy. The HNS goal is to increase access to care and improve the health outcomes of the underserved, low-income minority communities in El Paso, Culberson, Hudspeth and Presidio Counties in TX. We are looking for a VISTA member who has an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, fundraising, communications, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 1-2 years of experience in grant writing, marketing and fundraising development, and familiarity with social media tools and applications. The candidate should have the commitment to work with underserved, low-income minority communities, and be able to work independently and in cross-functional teams. In addition, the candidate should have excellent problem solving, communication, organizational and time management, and written skills. The VISTA member will have the opportunity to work in collaboration with the Project Director, Coordinator, staff, and Community Advisory Board members, network with partner organizations, and will have access to professional development opportunities. Member Duties : As the VISTA Funding Diversification Coordinator for our Health Navigation Services project you will: 1) Define fundraising goals based on the project past and current program budget, revenue sources, and sustainability strategy, 2) Determine the core fundraising methods to be implemented (grants, fundraising events, etc.), and develop an implementation plan for each of them, 4) Seek the involvement and feedback from the organization’s board of director, staff, volunteers, CAB members, organization’s partners and other stakeholders, 5) Promote and cultivate potential fundraising partnership opportunities with local organizations and community stakeholders, 6) Establish a fundraising committee and recruit and organize a volunteer team to support the implementation of fundraising activities, 7) Implement the selected fundraising methods, collect data to monitor key performance indicators, and report results, and 8) Develop and implement a multichannel fundraising marketing strategy.
