Moab Free Health Clinic Volunteer Coordinator
 
 
 
The Volunteer Management Coordinator will build the Moab Free Health Clinic’s volunteer capacity to expand access to healthcare for low-income and underserved residents in the Moab area. Volunteers, especially volunteer medical providers, are important to MFHC’s ability to increase services for uninsured and underinsured patients. This AmeriCorps VISTA will focus on assessment, planning, and systems development to strengthen the Clinic’s volunteer infrastructure. The member will assess the current volunteer program to identify gaps, opportunities, and unmet service needs, then adjust a strategic volunteer management plan to guide recruitment, onboarding, training, retention, and recognition efforts. The VISTA will support volunteer recruitment and onboarding systems, help create training resources, and establish communication and feedback processes that improve volunteer engagement and retention. The member will also adjust performance metrics to measure volunteer impact and assist with compliance related to volunteer policies and FTCA requirements. Additionally, the VISTA will support planning and coordination efforts related to the development of a volunteer housing triplex on the Moab Free Health Clinic lot. The member will also help build community partnerships and assist with volunteer and healthcare related grant applications as needed.

The VISTA will adjust communication and feedback processes; and adjust performance metrics to measure volunteer impact. The VISTA will build partnerships with local organizations and businesses to expand volunteer resources, plan and coordinate proposed provider volunteer housing triplex, and assist with volunteer and healthcare related grant applications as needed.
