Invasive Species Removal
 
 
 
This member will actively protect local ecosystems by identifying and removing invasive plant species. This hands-on role focuses on environmental stewardship, community engagement, and education, helping restore native habitats while empowering residents to care for their environment. Responsibilities include developing invasive species removal plans, conducting property scans, assisting with native planting, and supporting landscaping crews. You will lead volunteer restoration events, educate residents on native versus invasive plants, and create educational materials. Collaborating with the maintenance team and tracking restoration progress through data collection and reporting are also essential. Additionally, you will support Sabin's community sustainability programs.

Member Duties : Green Space Maintenance: Develop and implement site-specific invasive species removal plans, Conduct property scans to identify invasive plant species, and assist in planting and maintaining native vegetation to restore local habitats. Lead Volunteer Projects: Plan, coordinate, and lead volunteer restoration and removal events Environmental Education: Educate residents on the differences between invasive and native plant species, Explain the ecological importance of native plants and sustainable landscaping, Create educational materials for residents. Collaborate with the Maintenance Team: Provide occasional support to the property maintenance team as needed. Track and Report Outcomes: Document removal efforts and habitat restoration progress. Support Community Initiatives: Participate in programs such as Pass-It-On Days and Furnish-A-Change to enhance community sustainability.
