Debate Access & School Partnership Development Program
 
 
 
Each member's caseload will consist of schools in the same section of the city. Wherever possible, we will engage AmeriCorps members who grew up in their assigned neighborhood. We will engage one bilingual AmeriCorps member to provide support for the teams participating in our Debate en Espanol conference.

Member Duties : The support members offer their assigned schools will consist of regular in-person and virtual training and troubleshooting sessions with the team coaches, observation of after-school sessions to provide students with additional insights and tips, and logistical support of the teams in their portfolio when they attend Chicago Debates' tournaments. Undertaking these service activities will provide multiple opportunities for leadership and skill development.
