White Pine & Americorps Nature-Based Intervention Initiative

This program equips participants with the skills and experience to design and deliver nature-based education in collaboration with community partners. Participants gain a working knowledge of White Pine’s teaching philosophies and methodologies while developing lesson plans tailored to diverse audiences, locations, and organizational goals. Programming is delivered in settings ranging from our forest school to public schools, senior centers, and community events. In addition to teaching, participants help strengthen White Pine’s community partnerships with schools, land trusts, municipalities, and other organizations. They also support outreach and fundraising through activities like writing thank-you notes, posting community notices, and representing White Pine at public events. The program provides hands-on experience with program development, community building, and organizational tools such as Google Docs, Drive, and Sheets.
