Member Duties : Contribute to online content and presentations to promote disability awareness and culture.
Participate in community service events, outreach programs, and education projects.
Provide individualized and group mentorship to boost confidence, goal setting, and personal development in people with disabilities through direct service. This may include
One-on-one meetings
Giving individualized Information and Referral
Group instruction and peer mentoring
Disseminates knowledge of Independent Living (IL) philosophy to staff, consumers, and the community
Serves as a peer mentor for the rights of people with disabilities
