Career Readiness Specialist

The Career Readiness Specialist plays a vital role in preparing students to connect their academic experiences with meaningful long-term career goals. This position provides direct, individualized coaching to help students identify their strengths, interests, and aspirations while developing the skills necessary to succeed in both college and the workforce. By offering one-on-one advising and small group workshops, the Career Readiness Specialist empowers students to make informed decisions about their education and career pathways. In addition to career exploration, the role includes guiding students and families through the often-complex process of financial aid, including FAFSA and CSS Profile completion. This support ensures that students and their families understand available resources and can access the opportunities needed to pursue higher education with confidence. The Career Readiness Specialist also collaborates with teachers, school staff, and community partners to create career exposure opportunities such as internships, job shadowing, and mentoring. Through these experiences, students gain real-world insight into a variety of professions, helping them build a clearer vision for their future. The ideal candidate for this position is proactive, detail-oriented, and deeply passionate about helping young people achieve their goals. Ultimately, this role is about inspiring students to see what is possible and equipping them with the tools to succeed.
