Community Asset & Outreach Coordinator -Spokane Service Team
 
 
 
The AmeriCorps Community Asset & Outreach Coordinator will strengthen Take Up the Cause’s mission to expand affordable housing access, promote homeownership, and advance equitable community development in Spokane. By researching affordable housing availability, engaging in outreach, and representing TUTC in community collaborations, the member will help ensure more families have access to safe and affordable homes. Qualifications: -Interest in affordable housing, community development, and equity-driven work. -Strong communication and relationship-building skills. -Comfortable with data entry, mapping tools, and digital communication platforms. -Ability to represent TUTC in professional settings. -Commitment to the values of community, collaboration, and empowerment. Service Conditions: -Based in Spokane with a mix of office, community events, and neighborhood outreach. -Flexible schedule may include some evenings or weekends.

Member Duties : -Affordable Housing Asset Mapping: Research, document &assist staff in maintaining an updated inventory of affordable housing units across Spokane, including rent levels, eligibility requirements &contact information. -Community Outreach: Support outreach activities for TUTC’s Beloved Kijiji housing and healthcare development, including tabling, surveys & connecting with neighborhood partners. -Coalition Involvement & Community Partnership: Attend community coalition & partner meetings, gather insights, build relationships, and report back to TUTC leadership. -Homeownership Program Support: Assist with program logistics, event coordination, and outreach for TUTC’s homeownership workshops & cohorts, limited to outreach and event support (not financial counseling or licensed services). -Community Engagement & Communications: Share stories, photos & updates highlighting housing & homeownership successes. Support communications to ensure TUTC’s work is visible in the community.
