Kid Power is the only nonprofit expanded learning program offering a three-pronged approach to helping underserved DC students grow and become engaged leaders in their communities. Each year, Kid Power helps hundreds of youth succeed academically, empowers them to become engaged leaders and responsible citizens, and fosters healthy living through community gardens. Kid Power students work every day to build a stronger, healthier, and more resilient District.

Member Duties : The Youth Programs and Impact Member will support the Deputy Director of Kid Power in ensuring high-quality youth programs, organizational development, and strategic initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in nonprofit management, youth program coordination, and administrative operations. The Member will gain exposure to grant compliance, program evaluation, and strategic planning while supporting the organization’s mission to support young people through education, mentorship, and community engagement. It is an opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of young people while also building your resume, strengthening your leadership skills, and developing meaningful professional networks.
