Virginia Capacity Building Project VISTA Leader(Teleservice)
 
 
 
The Virginia Capacity Building Project supports Serve Virginia and their partners in alleviating the effects of poverty through organizational capacity building. While our project covers a wide range of issue areas, from substance use disorder to educational opportunities, all of our members are dedicated to increasing the impact and reach of volunteerism and to pursuing healthy futures for all Virginians. The efforts of our AmeriCorps members will help us build towards a healthier, happier, and stronger Commonwealth.

Member Duties : Serve your community and develop your professional and leadership skills through a year of service with AmeriCorps VISTA! In this teleservice position, the Virginia Capacity Building Project VISTA Leader will build capacity by supporting VISTA members statewide in fulfilling their VAD objectives. The Leader will do so by providing resources and training opportunities, encouraging networking and collaboration within the VISTA cohort, demonstrating program impact through data collection and stories of service, maintaining strong relationships with partner organizations, leading recruitment efforts to identify and place high-quality VISTA members, and ensuring continuous documentation and improvement of program policies and procedures. Applicants must have served at least one full term as an AmeriCorps member to qualify for this position. Applicants should be willing and able to travel to Glen Allen once per month for in-person staff meetings.
