Georgia College Advising Corps AmeriCorps

The Georgia College Advising Corps (GCAC) seeks service-minded recent graduates to lead low income, first-generation, and underrepresented students to college. We look for individuals who offer a variety of professional and academic experiences who are friendly, self-motivated, and passionate about our mission. College advisers work alongside counseling staff in underserved public high schools throughout the state of Georgia. They assist students with navigating the college admissions process. This includes helping each student identify potential colleges, complete college applications, identify financial aid and scholarship opportunities and complete forms and applications, prepare and register for college entrance examinations, and make informed postsecondary plans. GCAC college advisers are members of the College Advising Corps.
