AmeriCorps VISTA Immunization Outreach and Education Leader
 
 
 
Support and oversee member orientation and training. Evaluate current orientation and onboarding practices for members to identify opportunities for improvement. Organize and facilitate orientation and onboarding for new members, following a quality improvement process. Identify training needs and opportunities for members throughout their program year; collaborate with Immunize Colorado staff to carry out relevant trainings and professional development opportunities. Enhance project and member effectiveness by facilitating the VISTA team, supporting team members in their work, and monitoring member monthly reports. Meet with members to discuss progress and identify needs. Schedule regular team meetings for all program members to share updates with each other, receive updates from Immunize Colorado and receive technical assistance. Share regular updates with members regarding best practices, tools, resources and guidance related to program activities. Streamline program reporting processes across host site organizations and train/assist members in program reporting. Collect monthly reports from each VISTA member, review data and summarize for program staff. Expand and support member recruitment efforts for the program. Review new VADs for clarity, accuracy and consistency and suggest improvements. Research recruitment opportunities and promote position announcement through local avenues. Assist in screening applicants, setting up and participating in interviews. Collaborate with program staff and VISTA members to enhance program sustainability. Guide VISTA members in creating their own sustainability manuals to assist subsequent VISTAs with continuing project implementation. Note that to be a VISTA Leader, you MUST have completed a term with either AmeriCorps VISTA or the Peace Corps.

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps VISTA Leader will facilitate and support program members of the Colorado Immunity Corps, providing onboarding training and ongoing development opportunities, facilitating team meetings, making improvements to program operations, and consolidating and summarizing program data for external reporting purposes.
