Stream Teams United: Greenway Network VISTA
 
 
 
The AmeriCorps member at this site will assist with volunteer recruitment, partnership development, and developing funding sources that support long-term stewardship and community sustainability efforts in low income neighborhoods of north St. Louis city and north St. Louis county. The member will help develop new community cleanups and engage residents to be involved in improving neighborhood green spaces. The member will develop educational training and materials, and market education opportunities to residents of the service area, to provide residents with awareness and strategies to improve environmental quality in their community.

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps member serving at this site will assist the hosting site, Greenway Network, with increasing reach and developing programs to improve environmental quality of residents in low-income neighborhoods of north St. Louis city and north St. Louis County. The AmeriCorps member at this site will assist with volunteer recruitment, partnership development, and developing funding sources that support long-term stewardship and community sustainability efforts in the service area. The member will help develop new community cleanups and engage residents to be involved in improving neighborhood green spaces and develop and market educational opportunities related in improving environmental quality of low-income neighborhoods. The member will assist with fundraising and grant writing efforts to build the capacity of the host organization and its efforts for community improvement projects in the service area.
