Boulder County Substance Use Prevention VISTA

The Healthy Youth Alliance (HYA) is a program within the Community Services Department that supports poverty elimination through the lens of prevention, by increasing access to substance use prevention services using a strengths- and evidence-based approach. HYA focuses on engaging community partners and increasing community awareness of resources to achieve our mission of “ensuring that all youth, parents, caregivers, and community members have the knowledge and skills to support youth in healthy, positive choices and behaviors”. The right fit for this role will be someone who is interested in public health, program evaluation, and community building. We are looking for a VISTA member who would like to gain experience evaluating large-scale community substance use prevention efforts and work closely with the Boulder community to expand resources and technology use, among many other exciting opportunities.
