The Women’s Sports Foundation® (WSF®) is a leader and champion of the entire women’s sports ecosystem and amplifies the vital societal and cultural impact that is made when girls and women play sports.¿Founded by Billie Jean King in 1974, WSF is one of the¿first¿organizations to recognize the powerful connection between sport access, equity, and society, and exists to enable girls and women to reach their potential in sport and life. This role is a great career builder for anyone interested in learning more about the nonprofit sector. Skills we are looking for include experience with Microsoft computer programs, organizational, listening, and writing skills, the ability to conduct research, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude. Upon completion, the VISTA can expect to acquire invaluable experience in fundraising, database management, research, writing, event management, and strategic planning. Member Duties : The VISTA at WSF will be part of the 2025-26 Coach Across America VISTA cohort of 53 members. The Development and Events VISTA will work in coordination with the Development and Communications team. WSF’s Development department is the chief fundraising arm of the organization, raising vital support to advance the lives of girls and women through sports and physical activity. The VISTA will: support the event planning and execution of WSF’s 2025 Annual Salute to Women in Sports fundraising gala; assist with WSF’s NYC Marathon Charity Partner team, including communications, fundraising support, and hosting team events during the 2025 Marathon weekend; contribute to the culture of philanthropy through primary fundraising appeals, donor stewardship, and cultivation events; aid in the maintenance and management of company database and constituent records; lead donor prospect and foundation research.
