Catholic Charities Design and Digital Marketing Coordinator

Join the Advancement team of Catholic Charities of Louisville (CCL). CCL consists of social service programs that address food insecurity, human trafficking, refugee resettlement, eldercare, family health and self-sufficiency, and other social issues throughout Louisville and 24 counties in central Kentucky. KY has the 6th highest poverty rate in the US, so the needs are great. The role is to rally volunteers and donors to contribute to our success on a sustainable basis. How? By building awareness of our clients’ needs and successful outcomes through storytelling in both digital and print media and by sharing the innovative solutions our programs provide their clients. The VISTA will inspire people to participate in our mission, which will have a direct impact on providing help, creating hope, and upholding the dignity of the thousands of people we serve each year. The VISTA will design marketing materials, including fliers, newsletters, mailers, website, etc. and plan, create and manage social media content, including posting content regularly to drive engagement (e.g. monetary and in-kind donations). The Adv. Team areas of focus include: fundraising, events, communications, volunteer recruitment and more. A great entry point into the nonprofit world. To be successful, the VISTA will work closely with program directors to understand their program’s goals, operations, and marketing needs. Special emphasis will be placed on setting up a sustainable process by which programs can capture and tell compelling “client impact stories.” Louisville is a vibrant city, home of the Kentucky Derby, University of Louisville, and major arts and entertainment venues and festivals (e.g. Bourbon & Beyond in September). This VISTA position is a part of Catholic Charities USA’s Family Strengthening Program, a national intermediary project. As a member, you will meet virtually with VISTA Leaders and other VISTAs serving throughout the country, all focused on alleviating poverty.
