California Overdose Prevention Associate – Virtual Service
 
 
 
The California Overdose Prevention Network is recruiting one new AmeriCorps VISTA member to support virtual overdose prevention programming across the state of California. The AmeriCorps VISTA member will support projects aimed at supporting overdose prevention coalitions across California with an ultimate goal of reducing substance use and overdose deaths in the state. Key projects will include developing and producing webinars and virtual workshops for overdose prevention coalitions, coordinating virtual and/or in person convenings, and collecting, organizing, and distributing resources. The selected members will develop skills in communications, project management, program coordination, webinar production, coalition building, overdose prevention initiatives, and partnership development. The selected candidate will be a part a statewide member learning community through PHI Center for Health Leadership & Impact. This community includes support from VISTA Leads and professional development opportunities including workshops, networking events, conferences and other trainings. Member Duties : All members serve full-time, 40 hours per week for a full 12-month term. This is a virtual service site and members will serve from their home of record. Members must be available to serve Monday – Friday, 9a-5p and must have reliable internet access. Please note, this role is administrative and will focus on capacity building projects. The role will not include any direct service. This VISTA member will need to be able to independently complete tasks. Additionally, the VISTA member should have interest in program coordination and project management versus direct service.
