Stewards VISTA: Development Coordinator FoKAG

*Actual Start Date TBD Friends of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens (FoKAG) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and promoting one of the nation’s most unique public spaces—America’s only national park devoted to aquatic plants. Located in Washington, D.C., the park provides an invaluable space for conservation education, outdoor recreation, and community connection. Through its programs, FoKAG helps people of all ages experience the outdoors, learn about conservation, and take pride in their public lands. This year, we’re expanding our efforts to engage local communities, promote stewardship, and ensure that the park remains a vibrant, welcoming space for generations to come. We are seeking a mission-driven AmeriCorps VISTA member to help us build long-term sustainability through strong development strategies and community partnerships. This service opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about nature, committed to community service, and looking to gain meaningful experience in nonprofit operations and leadership. By helping grow local involvement and support, this role directly contributes to the broader goal of empowering individuals and families to connect with educational opportunities, job pathways, and the many personal benefits that come from active community participation and outdoor engagement.
