Flathead Valley Community College Library- Makerspace

Flathead Valley Community College (FVCC) was established in 1967 as a result of collaborative efforts by local citizens supporting area students and employers by providing higher education without leaving the valley. FVCC promotes excellence in lifelong learning, focused on student success and community needs. The MCNCE AmeriCorps Summer Member will create and provide programming focused on preventing summer learning loss of low-income high school and college students and encourage college enrollment and/or perseverance. Montana Campus Network for Civic Engagement (MCNCE) serves as the intermediary for this project. MCNCE is a coalition of colleges and universities dedicated to fostering civic engagement, service learning, and volunteerism across Montana. Led by CEOs from participating institutions, MCNCE works to improve community life and educate students on civic and social responsibility, preparing them to be thoughtful, compassionate, and engaged leaders.
