*Actual Start Date TBD People’s Partner for Community Development (PPCD) is a Native-led nonprofit based on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Montana. PPCD helps build a strong, self-sustaining economy by increasing access to capital, supporting small business development, and promoting financial literacy among individuals and families. Many homes in the area face high utility costs due to aging infrastructure and limited energy options. PPCD addresses these challenges by offering practical solutions that improve housing quality, lower energy bills, and create new opportunities for financial stability. The organization also supports entrepreneurs and families by offering tools to help them make informed decisions and take charge of their economic futures. This role supports local values of independence, family, and personal growth—helping build a more secure future through practical solutions and real-world results.

Member Duties : This position focuses on expanding access to affordable energy-saving tools and practical financial solutions for residents of the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. The VISTA identifies cost-effective strategies to improve reduce utility bills, and increase long-term savings for families and small business owners. Primary responsibilities: Create and lead hands-on training programs focused on weatherization and smart utility practices. Support efforts that give residents the tools they need to save money, and invest in their futures. Expand educational efforts to promote financial literacy and economic opportunity for individuals looking to start a business or build personal assets. Strengthen local capacity to access funding, equipment, and tools for upgrades.
