PHENND Fellows: Advocacy Institute Outreach Coordinator

Founded in 1981, Health Promotion Council’s (HPC) mission is to promote health and prevent and manage chronic disease, especially among vulnerable populations, through community-based outreach, education, and advocacy. A wholly owned subsidiary of Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC), HPC leads initiatives spanning direct service, capacity-building, and policy- and systems-change designed to improve health and wellness for all and reaches over 20,000 people in Pennsylvania annually. This project is a part of the PHENND Fellows VISTA program housed at the Philadelphia Higher Education Network for Neighborhood Development (PHENND). PHENND is a network of over 25 colleges and universities that strengthens service-learning, civic engagement, and community partnership in Philadelphia.
