WSU VISTA - Wichita Recovery Hub - Admin Capacity Building

The Wichita Recovery Hub is a nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by supporting individuals in recovery from trauma, including substance use disorder, homelessness, and mental health challenges. The Hub provides a range of services to empower individuals to rebuild their lives, offering access to recovery programs, housing, healthcare, and employment opportunities. The organization works closely with community partners to create a comprehensive support network for vulnerable populations. For more information, visit www.wichitarecoveryhub.org. The VISTA will focus on enhancing the Hub’s internal infrastructure by improving administrative systems, volunteer management, data tracking, and referral processes. This role will utilize tools such as the Recovery Cafe Network’s Agency system, Stand Together’s Thrive Lights app to support client progress, facilitate referrals, and empower individuals on their recovery journey. By strengthening partnerships with community organizations, the VISTA will help build sustainable systems that will continue to serve the community long after the VISTA year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping those in recovery, strong organizational skills, and an interest in creating lasting systems that make a meaningful impact. By joining the Wichita Recovery Hub, you will gain valuable experience in nonprofit administration, volunteer coordination, and client tracking technologies, while making a tangible difference in the lives of those overcoming trauma and rebuilding their lives.
