Community Engagement - The Garden for All
 
 
 
The Garden for All's mission is to Fight Hunger and Grow Community. We fight hunger by providing organically grown produce to food pantries to increase access to healthy food for all in our community. We grow community by providing a garden space for over 300 volunteers to help feed others, connect with the earth, and form lasting bonds and relationships. This year, The Garden for All is expanding to a 3-acre farm in Johnstown to be able to provide even more produce to our four pantries and expand the number of pantries we serve.

Member Duties : As our VISTA member, you will be an important member of The Garden for All team! Leading efforts to increase awareness of our mission, you will expand our volunteer network to leverage greater support in our area. For this role, you will need excellent interpersonal and written communications skills, knowledge of volunteerism, and a strong desire to fight hunger in our community. You will create a community assessment of Johnstown and the surrounding area, identifying key needs and developing a community engagement plan. Rallying volunteers, you develop strategic training materials and methods to ensure our continued effectiveness in our mission to fight hunger and grow community. Join the effort today! **Benefits include a monthly $200 housing stipend to supplement living costs.**
