EMI Social Media VISTA Y5

Emerge Motivation Initiatives (EMI) works to reduce incarceration, violence, and poverty by empowering youth and families facing barriers to success in Bernalillo County through its Egress Diversion Program. By focusing on sustainable initiatives and building strategic partnerships, EMI is strengthening the program’s capacity to create long-term, meaningful impact for its participants. EMI’s efforts aim to reduce poverty by promoting positive lifestyle alternatives, decreasing recidivism, and supporting brighter futures for youth and their families. The EMI Egress Youth Diversion Program, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, provides prevention and intervention services for pre-adjudicated and nonviolent adjudicated youth. Adjudication refers to the legal process in which a judge determines whether a juvenile has committed an offense.
