AmeriCorps Volunteer Program Specialist
 
 
 
Position Information: AmeriCorps Volunteer Program Specialist PROG FOUNDATION The AmeriCorps members in this role will serve as the AmeriCorps Volunteer Program Specialists serving with the PROG Foundation. We are seeking dynamic, organized, self-motivated, and culturally competent Development Center Program Specialists willing to commit 25 hours a week to helping the organization accomplish its mission. This individual will work directly with the PROG Foundation community impact specialist, program partners, and core volunteer leadership to enable consistently high-quality experiences, and they will be essential to the success and participation of this growing volunteer organization. Service Term and Benefits This is an AmeriCorps position. AmeriCorps is a unique service opportunity. AmeriCorps members complete a term of service from January 2025 to December 2025. This individual will serve a minimum of 1200 hours during this time, approximately 25 hours per week. AmeriCorps members will receive a living allowance of $15,750 during their term of service. This living allowance will be paid bi-weekly. Additionally, upon successful completion of a term of service, AmeriCorps members will receive an education award of $4,826.

Member Duties : Assist in the development and implementation of volunteer program plans, goals, and objectives. Coordinate the implementation and roll out of volunteer program materials and resources, including project planning, tracking volunteer hours, and researching volunteer opportunities. Coordinate and support volunteer activities, including recruitment, hosting projects, tracking hours, and meetings. Coordinate volunteer projects and evaluate and assess to ensure project effectiveness. Collaborate with team members to identify areas for project improvement and implement changes as needed. Maintain project data and records, including participant information, project expenses, and program outcomes. Support project reporting and communication efforts, including drafting reports, summaries, and project updates. Maintain and track volunteer hours pertaining to PROG Foundation charitable initiatives.
