| Member Duties : The Community Engagement Specialist VISTA will build capacity through increased volunteer engagement and more robust community partnerships. This will allow GASA to serve more people and have a greater impact on their lives. Increasing volunteer engagement and community partnerships is essential for the Community Hub, a groundbreaking initiative creating a space for the co-location of services offering a range of resources and a participatory programming model. Colocating resources and encouraging reciprocal participation will foster a community grounded in mutual support and self-empowerment. The participatory model allows clients and volunteers to contribute to Hub operations, gaining valuable skills and connections.
